Tour Description

This is a fantastic cycling route that will take you out of the city and into the beautiful hills of Minoh. The tour is for intermediate to advanced cyclists however beginners are also welcome. The main goal of the tour is to discover the amazing nature and cycling routes that are easily accessible from Osaka city.

The route takes in a variety of cycling that will have you cruising along a river, crossing through a lovely park, seeing Minoh town, tackling climbs, taking in the beauty of the mountain forest, maybe seeing a monkey and having a well-deserved coffee break at a stunning temple in the mountain. The winding roads up the mountain are a a cyclist's dream and not to be missed.

Exploring the hills of Minoh is classic Japan cycling: winding roads, sudden steep climbs, lush scenery, picturesque streams and monkeys.

• Start time: 09:30 meet 10:00 start | Cycling finish time: Around 15:00
• Start and finish location: Road Bike Rental Japan - very close to JR Sakuranomiya station
• Price:
  • 6,000 yen for the tour
  • 5,000 yen for a road bike (11,000 yen total)
  • 4,000 yen for a touring bike (10,000 yen total)
• What to bring:
  • Water, drinks
  • Suitable clothing for cycling
  • If you request certain pedals, please bring your shoes

How to Reserve

To reserve your place on the tour you need to:

1. Choose your tour date from the calendar

Select from available dates for the tour from the tour product page. Add the tour to your cart and continue shopping

2. Choose your bike

Check available bikes by viewing a bike's product page and entering the tour date in the start and finish fields in the calendars. You'll be able to book the bike if it's available, it will be greyed out if not.

After adding the tour and bike to the cart, proceed to checkout and finalise the reservation.

All cyclists are covered with third party insurance which covers property and person up to 200,000,000 yen.

We have space to store any bags or luggage at our shop while we are out on the tour.

Keep these in mind

Cancellation policy

Any tour booking can be cancelled and fully refunded up to 5pm of the previous day that the tour will start. If you cancel after 5pm of the day before, we offer a 50% refund.

Guest requirements

Guests must be at least 145cm in height. We unfortunately don't have bikes for people shorter than 145cm. Ability to ride a bike and basic fitness is also required. The route is fine for beginners but we will cycle up a couple of hills.
